Global Climate Change Planetary Emergency

The Health and Human Rights Approach to Greenhouse Gas Pollution
Climate change is set to inflict “severe, widespread, and irreversible impacts”
on people and the natural world unless carbon emissions are cut

sharply and rapidly.

There is universal agreement on immediate (2020) rapid global emissions decline, to avoid total planetary catastrophe. This is the bottom line for our survival
Welcome to the Climate Emergency Institute. I'm Peter Carter, founder and director of CEI. That we're in a dire climate emergency is now widely acknowledged. The purpose of this site is threefold:
  1. to show the science and the evidence of the climate emergency
  2. to portray the human dimensions of the climate emergency
  3. to outline needed emergency measures and responses
This site is unique in its comprehensiveness. It is an online climate/oceans emergency reference library. On each topic page in the Menu, you will find all the significant research, by date and linked, over the past decade.
Dr. Peter Carter, speaking in 2009 at an international climate change conference in Washington, DC
Here is the overwhelming comprehensive proof of the now dire planetary emergency and that the world economy has the world on a fast track for biosphere collapse.
1 Sept 2020 Biosphere collapse trend  Comprehensive data
World powers, continuing to emit record quantities of greenhouse gases and at a rapidly increasing rate, with no plan to stop emitting, have the human race and most of life condemned to annihilation.
> Since the 2018 IPCC 1.5C Report the global climate emergency is widely acknowledged.
>
> Climate change indicators are at record highs and accelerating higher,
> tracking the very worst-case scenario.
> Climate change impacts are happening decades sooner than projected
> All planetary catastrophic amplifying feedbacks have been triggered and are operant.
> There is universal science agreement on immediate (2020) rapid global emissions decline,   to avoid total planetary catastrophe. This is the bottom line for our survival.
> But the plans are for increased emissions
>There is no response to the global CLIMATE emergency. Business worse than usual is continuing.
> There is no international plan to put global emissions into decline
>
The only plan is to stay on a fossil fuel energy dominant world economy at record high emissions.

That is why today, I call on all leaders worldwide to declare a State of Climate Emergency in their countries
